The Intersection of Black Film and Literature

Course Dates / May 10 & 17 Course Facilitators / Nia June & Naima Eggleston Black film and literature to examine love, trauma, and healing in the Black community. The first part will study the collective experience of Black womanhood and the healing properties of community presented in For Colored Girls. The second part will look at the relationship between Stevie and Isaiah in Really Love through the eyes of bell hooks in her widely celebrated text, All About Love to further understand the relationship between Black men and women.
